A small plane landed safely this afternoon, at Kelowna International Airport, after losing power in one engine.
Airport spokesperson Jasmine Patrick says a Cessna Citation was involved.
"As a precaution, we called the Kelowna Fire Department and dispatched our trucks to the airfield just to be prepared in case anything happened, but the plane landed safely at about 2:52," she says.
Patrick says the two people on board were unhurt.
Earlier today - an Air Canada flight, enroute from Vancouver to Regina, was diverted to Kelowna because of a mechanical issue.
Patrick says the Dash 8 twin-turboprop was inspected and then continued on to Saskatchewan - there's no report about what the issue may have been.
Passengers remained on board during the inspection.
