Environment Canada is forecasting off-and on sunny and cloudy days for the rest of the week.
Meteorologist Alyssa Charbonneau says after a cloudy Wednesday, a ridge of high pressure will build.
"And that's going to peak on Thursday when we have daytime highs reaching the mid to high-20's across the southern part of BC. It's going to be sunny and a high of 26 in Kelowna," she says.
Charbonneau says it won't last long because a cold front is expected to move in on Friday bringing a chance of showers and thunderstorms and cooler temperatures into Saturday.
"And then as we get into the weekend, and really into the beginning and the middle of next week, we have another ridge building again and this one looks like it's got some more staying power. We're going to see things dry out by Sunday and temperatures start to climb again probably to the mid-20's for next week," she says.
The normal high for this time of year is near 18 - with the normal low around 6.
