Earth to Table Vegan Market is making it easier to make cruelty-free choices this holiday season.
They’re hosting a Very Merry Vegan Christmas market on Sunday, where the community can learn about plant-based lifestyles and acquire vegan goods all in one place.
Earth to Table holds quarterly markets throughout the year, but their November market is themed to have more of a Christmas feel.
Organizer Cassandra McFarland told Am1150’s Early Edition, Earth to Table does this “to encourage people to come out and stock up on goodies before we start getting into a bunch of holiday meals and going out with friends for the holidays. So, it gives them the opportunity to pick up those goods ahead of time.”
Vendors will have a ton of different products and vegan goods to look at and choose from.
“We have food obviously, so that will range from baked goods to a bunch of preserves and things like that. Then we also have beauty products, jewelry, clothing, household products, we even have some wine so you can pick up a couple bottles of wine for your Christmas party,” said McFarland.
She believes having all these vendors under one roof will make acquiring vegan goods more accessible and help create dialogue within the community.
The event is happening this Sunday from 10a.m. to 3p.m. at the Laurel Packinghouse on Ellis St. downtown.
