The seat became vacant when MLA Christy Clark resigned on August 4, 2017. In a few days it will be filled by of these candidates: Ben Stewart(Liberal), Mark Thompson(Conservative). Shelley Cook(NDP), Kyle Geronazzo(Libertarian), Robert Stupka(Green).
