New affordable housing is being proposed in downtown Kelowna.
The Pathways Abilities Society wants to construct a six storey affordable housing complex on Fuller Avenue.
The building would include 40 one-bedroom suites, 19 two-bedroom suites and 9 bachelor units.
BC Housing has agreed to provide funding for the project, if it is approved by Kelowna City Council.
A public hearing will be held on January 15th, where both proponents and opponents of the project can have their say.
Council will then decide whether or not to approve a rezoning application that would allow construction to proceed.
