Environment Canada has ended its Special Air Quality Advisory for the Okanagan that's been in effect for weeks due to heavy smoke and poor air quality.
In the last week, the air quality health index in Kelowna has gone from a 10+, or a very high risk to health, all the way down to the 1 to 3 range, or a low risk to health.
But we can't relax just yet - Environment Canada says the various wildfires burning across BC mean we could see another round of smoke.
While air quality improvements are being seen across southern BC, it’s still poor in the central parts of the province, namely Prince George, which had an air quality rating of 9 on Tuesday.
