Close to 200 senior airport executives from across North America will be in Kelowna next week for 'Airports Canada 2019'.
YLW Airport Director Sam Samaddar says they will be discussing issues that affect 140 million passengers who use Canada's airports every year.
"One of the areas we are looking at is the topic of drones. It is managing the unexpected in terms of where drones are going. We have sessions on working for travelers in terms of making their journey from home to their temporary home more enjoyable and more accessible".
Samaddar says airports across Canada create in the neighbourhood of 355 thousand jobs.
"We are looking at about 140 million passengers through Canada every year. We have, on average, 2.2 million flights per year and 355 thousand jobs are created by airports in Canada, so its significant", Samaddar added.
