Police responded to a commercial business alarm at Tonics Pub & Grill, Tuesday morning in downtown Kelowna.
An initial search of the bar found no one inside the building but showed signs that the culprit had gained access to the establishment through the roof's ventilation system.
“During their search of the interior of the business, investigators noted damage to a cash register and multiple doors on site,” said RCMP Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey.
Police say surveillance footage shows the suspect spraying security cameras with a substance to obstruct their view.
The suspect is described as last seen wearing a hoodie, a red hat, a head lamp, a pair of gloves and a pair of dark coloured pants.
Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
