-65-year-old Oscar Arfmann of Alberta charged with 1st degree murder in the death of Abbotsford Constable John Davidson. Davidson died in hospital after an exchange of gunfire in a parking lot of a shopping complex yesterday. Arfmann remains in police custody.
-The man at the centre of a West Kelowna stand-off with RCMP last weekend has been charged. Court documents indicate Michael Paul Grant, who has a lengthy criminal record, faces charges of assault with a weapon, aggravated assault and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle in connection to an incident on Saturday. Charges in the Sunday incident have not been laid.
-Kelowna Rockets forward Dillon Dube named WHL player of the game as 2017 CIBC Canada-Russia series continues. He scored once and added an assist in a losing cause as the Russians came back to win the game 4-3. Dube leads Team WHL with two goals and three assists in two games - the WHL beat the Russians 7-0 Monday night.
