85 thousand participants in 57 communities across the country raised 17 milllion dollars in Sunday's CIBC Run for the Cure.
Here in Kelowna, nearly 800 people, dressed in pink, started their run at City Park.
Among the runners was Chanine Carr from our sister station 101.5 EZRock.
"They were decked out completely in pink. You saw people that coloured their hair. They had jewelry and feather boas. They dressed up their dogs. The atmosphere, even though its about something serious, is one of total celebration. That's why I love the event."
Kelowna runners raised 127 thousand dollars for breast cancer reserarch and support services.
It was the 25th edition of the CIBC Run for the Cure.
