Winter is not letting us go that easy.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Alyssa Charbonneau says a cold arctic ridge will begin dropping down from the north Tuesday and that means more colder-than-normal temperatures.
"We're looking at conditions being mainly sunny with daytime highs of around -2, and overnight lows dropping into the minus double-digits; around -11 then -13 for Wednesday night - clear but cold for the second half of the week," she says.
The normal high is near +1 - the normal low around -5.
She says as we get closer to the weekend, a low pressure system begins to push in over Washington State bringing a chance of flurries and gradual warming.
Charbonneau says so far, the system is not expected to bring any significant amounts of snow.
