Are dogs being posioned in the McCulloch Lake area - and near the Myra Canyon Trestles?
In a Facebook post - the group "Paws It Forward Dog Rescue" claims one dog has died - and others are ill - after injesting poisoned pieces of meat or treats left in those areas.
Ally Shafer, at Fairfield Animal Hospital, says they're aware of post - but haven't had any cases of poisoned animals.
"We've had no confirmed cases of malicious poisoning causing sickness or death," she says.
"Paws it Forward" mentions Fairfield in its post as a place to go for after hours vet care.
The group also asks anyone noticing suspicious activity to contact Kelowna Conservation or the police.
