The Okanagan Regiment of the British Columbia Dragoons were out on the streets of Kelowna on Wednsday afternoon showing an impressive yet intimidating ride.
The Tactical Armored Patrol Vehicle, or TAP-V, is designed for all-terrain efficiency with increased protection for overseas military operations. It also comes in handy in domestic situations, such as earthquakes or floods.
The display on Wednesday was actually a training exercise for new drivers of the armored vehicle.
The public will get an opportunity to see the TAP-V up close when the Vernon regiment hosts an open house on February 18th.
