Former Hells Angels member Joe Calendino has seen it all.
Calendino will be in Kelowna next Wednesday speaking to parents and students about avoiding the gang lifestyle.
"I was in the lifestyle for the majority of my life. I identified with the lifestyle at a very, very young age. When I got kicked out, I became a drug addict."
The 50 year-old hopes to share his story to prevent others from making the same mistake.
"Kids are dying today. Kids are being shot. Back in the day, we didn't shoot each other. It was substancially different back then".
Calendino says the gang lifestyle produces three outcomes....death, addiction and incarceration.
