The B.C. SPCA has been declared an essential service across the province during the COVID-19 pandemic. To help make sure animals in shelters receive continued care.
Branch Manager at the Kelowna SPCA, Sean Hogan says donations are still welcome, though narrowed down to essentials, like unopened bags of dog and cat food as well as gift cards.
There is a cleanable surface 6 feet away from the door of the shelter for donations. Towels and bedding unfortunately can’t be processed at this time.
To lean into mitigation measures, public access to the shelter is now by appointment only.
You can visit the shelter’s website for more information.
