An alleged golf ball thief tells Kelowna RCMP he didn't know he was committing a crime.
Yesterday, police released images of two men who had visited the Golf Centre on Benvoulin Road on Monday, August 6th. The men had paid $45 to fill up three baskets with range balls. Instead of working on their approach shots, the men drove off with around 360 balls, worth close to $400.
After hearing police were looking for them, one of the men turned himself in. “The individual has agreed to work with the impacted business to come to a resolution which satisfies all parties involved,” says Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey of the Kelowna RCMP.
The men's names have not been released.
