A brazen daytime bank robbery took place in downtown Kelowna Monday afternoon.
At 12:15 PM, a man entered the Scotiabank on Bernard Avenue and demanded money from a bank teller. He then fled the scene with stolen cash.
Several RCMP officers arrived on the scene and remained there for several hours to interview witnesses and gather evidence.
“The suspect has been described to police as a Caucasian male, approximately 6 feet tall, 25-30 years of age, with a scruffy face, brown hair, and brown eyes,” says Corporal Jesse O’Donaghey. “He was last seen wearing a red and white jacket with a hood.”
