BC Hydro says people have drastically changed their daily routines during the pandemic.
Today’s release says residential electricity use is normal for this time of year, but daily use patterns resemble a typical weekend.
A recent survey showed nearly 40 percent of British Columbians are waking up later than usual and 24 percent are showering less.
Television use is up, and peak electricity use in the evenings is earlier than normal as frequency and time of cooking has changed.
