Premier John Horgan and the BC NDP maintain a five point lead over the BC Liberals, and new leader Andrew Wilkinson, according to a new poll.
Mainstreet Research says the election of Andrew Wilkinson has had no effect on the BC Liberals popularity as of yet. Horgan maintains roughly the same lead over the Liberals as he had in January.
The NDP currently have 36% support among decided voters, while the Liberals are at 31%, the Greens under Andrew Weaver at 22%, with the BC Conservatives at 9% support.
Mainstreet goes on to say Horgan's popularity has not been affected by his current battle with Alberta Premier Rachel Notley over the Trans Mountain pipeline extension. The NDP have significant leads in every region in BC.
