Big White is experiencing another real estate boom.
Gary Turner at Royal LePage says more listings have sold at the resort, and more development has taken place in the last year, than in the past ten years.

He says when the recession hit in February 2009, the demand for recreational property dropped, and new development was put on hold.
"Where the boom is coming from is there's a real void in the market right now for new product," he says.
Turner says renters have become buyers - empty-nesters have returned to the outdoor lifetsyle with their grandchildren.
"Locals make up probably 75% of all our sales and then the other 25% are guests from Europe, Australia and the United States," he says.
Turner says some developments of note include Stonegate Phase 3 - in the heart of the Village, also townhouses in Sundance - and winter vacation homes in Feather Top, White Forest Estates and Rock Ridge.
