The City is getting some of the provincial funding it applied for back in December.
At the end of last year, Kelowna applied for $1 million dollars worth of funding from the provincial BikeBC fund, to go towards Okanagan Rail Trail construction between Dilworth Drive and Airport Way.
The province has now announced it'll fund just over three quarters of that request - with a payout of $777,435 on Monday.
It's also the second recent funding announcement for the Trail, as a $500,000 grant was announced from the Rural Dividend Fund earlier this month.
Cities apply for BikeBC money, and can get up to half the cost of a capital project that expands or improves bicycle infrastructure.
The ministry is paying out just over $9 million through BikeBC grants this year.
