We could get another round of thunderstorms Friday
Environment Canada has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the Central Okanagan including Kelowna, Vernon and Penticton.
Meteorologist Alyssa Charbonneau says the storms could produce strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain - possibly 10 to 20-millimetres of rain today - and another 10-millimetres tonight.
Charbonneau says, once we get through Saturday, things are looking better.
"We have a ridge of high pressure that's going to start to build up in the wake of this system. Saturday we're looking at a 40% chance of showers, and as we move into Saturday night that starts to taper off, and then for Sunday and the rest of the week - we're looking at just a mix of sun and cloud," she says.
Charbonneau says temperatures will also begin to climb again getting up into the mid-20's by the middle of next week.
