A pair of suspects who threatened employees of a downtown Kelowna business with bolt cutters and bear spray on Sunday have been arrested.
“Shortly after 7 AM, RCMP received a report of a possible break and enter in progress to a commercial business situated along Guy Street in Kelowna’s downtown,” says Corporal Jesse O’Donaghey. “Police attended and learned that two male suspects were discovered by employees inside that businesses’ secure compound.”
After threatening the employees, the suspects ran away, until police managed to locate and arrest them without further incident at Sutherland Bay Park.
The two suspects, ages 35 and 37, made their first appearance in court on Monday, and face a number of criminal charges.
Police confirmed that one of the suspects also faces the charge of breaching his probation order.
