An elderly woman was taken to hospital Friday afternoon after accidentally driving her car straight into the entranceway of a pet supply store in Kelowna
An employee at Buckerfield's on Spall and Springfield heard a loud crash in the store around noon, and went up front to see a car sitting in the entrance, with an entire window destroyed.
"A lady was pulling up to the front, and she must have hit the gas instead of the brake," said the employee. "And she came right through the door and the window.
The woman was not injured, and was taken to hospital simply as a precaution, and no one else at the scene was injured either.
An exact estimate on the damage caused is unknown at this time.
