A report from the BC Real Estate Association says province-wide home sales are continuing to increase, as the housing supply continues to decrease.
But here in the Central Okanagan, the numbers don't tell the same story.
Across BC, residential sales increased 19% last month, compared to October 2016.
But in the Kelowna area, sales actually went down 2.7% between those months.
And while BC as a whole saw active residential listings decrease by 5%, listings were up in the Central Okanagan by more than 14%.
One area where the Okanagan matched the province was in average price of a property, which went up 16% locally, and 18% province-wide.
The combined value of all residential sales went up 41% province-wide, and while still up in the Okanagan, the jump was less drastic at 13%.
Last month's regional numbers show the average residential property sold for $573,000.
The report from the Association averaged out the stats from 12 real estate boards across the province, including the Okanagan Mainline.
