As part of the work of the Transportation Steering Committee, Central Okanagan Public Schools will consult with its community on the future of its transportation system. The
consultation will take place over the next three months to inform recommendations to the Board of Education and will provide multiple opportunities for the public to provide feedback
throughout the process. Currently, the District allocates $3.1 million in operating funding to Transportation that it could allocate to other priorities, such as educational supports. The District
encourages all families, including those who do not receive bus service, to participate in these consultations to inform decisions as the Board sets transportation service levels and
determines its budget priorities for future school years.
The timeline for the consultation is as follows:
October 15 - October 28: Public Survey on Transportation
December 2: Recommendations published on Transportation Review Website
December 3 - December 12: Drop-in public meetings to review recommendations:

George Elliot Secondary School – December 5 (6:00PM-7:30PM)
Mount Boucherie Secondary School – December 9 (6:00PM-7:30PM)

December 2-December 23: Public Survey on Recommendations
February 2020: Final recommendations to Policy Committee
February 2020: Board of Education reviews final recommendations and makes policy and fee decisions
