After about 10 to 15 millimeters of rain last night, there is more rain in the forecast for this weekend.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Alyssa Charbonneau says the good news is they're not expecting as much rain today as they had for Thursday night.
“We still have a 70% chance of showers today so sort of scattered showers around the area and a risk of a thunderstorm this afternoon and into early this evening,” she says.
“We just don’t expect it to be as widespread and we don’t have the same ingredients there that could lead to the development of a severe thunderstorm.”
Saturday has a 40% chance of showers and by Sunday, Charbonneau says things should be drier.
Temperatures are also dipping down with a high of 14 for both today and tomorrow.
Despite the less severe weather, emergency officials are still warning residents tthat flooding is possible.
