The BC Wildfire Service has updated the size of the Christie Mountain Wildfire to 1400 hectares.
The fire is in rocky steep terrain, 6 km north of Okanagan Falls on the east side of Skaha Lake.
Nicole Bonnett is a Fire Information Officer.
"Some of that size is attributed to the wind last night," explains Bonnett. "Depending on how the smoke goes this afternoon - we might be able to get another update on the fire size if the smoke clears up a little bit."
All evacuation orders and alerts assoicated with the fire remain in effect.
The fire is confirmed to have destroyed one home.
