Kelowna's City Manager has finalized his retirement plans.
After 22 years at City Hall, Ron Mattiussi's final day will be March 30.
Mattiussi has spent the last 11 years as city manager, after he was promoted from his position as Director of Planning.
Speaking on the Early Edition this month, Mattiussi says he's still deciding what's next.
"I haven't really set any set plans yet - people have asked me to come consult on a number of things. I like working with councils, there's a lot of councils out there, and staff, that are going through issues, and I would like to do that," he said.
"I like to help people as they try to set up their organizations, so I think I have something to offer in terms of that experience. But emergency management - if the province needed me for something, and wanted some help, I'd be open to that."
The city says they'll start the search for his replacement next month, through a process overseen by recruitment firm Davis Park.
Council's audit committee will also be involved, and includes Mayor Colin Basran along with councillors Gail Given and Luke Stack.
On an interim basis, deputy city manager Joe Creron will hold the position.
The City Manager is responsible for Kelowna's 900 employees, and annual budget of roughly 350 million dollars.
Kelowna has seen its population grow as fast as any other Canadian city, and currently sits at more than 129,000 people.
