An Okanagan halfway house will soon be home to a convicted rapist and kidnapper from the Lower Mainland who two years ago was deemed too dangerous to be released.
It's not known where exactly Brian Abrosimo will spend his time, only that he's under curfew, forbidden from using drugs or alcohol and not allowed to be near children in what documents from the Parole Board of Canada describe as a "one-chance" statutory release.
The 54-year-old served a 14 year sentence for a brutal sexual assault against a woman and for running down two children on their bikes then sexually assaulting one of them who was 11 years old at the time.
If he violates the terms, Abrosimo returns to prison to serve his full sentence until 2020.
