The Cook Road boat launch has partially re-opened the north ramp after a full closure for dredging of sediment build-up in time for the nice weather ahead. The south ramp will remain closed as dredging continues and is expected to be complete in three to four weeks, depending on how the work progresses.
With limited launch operations, boaters must use caution during load-in and load-out of their watercrafts and expect delays should weather conditions induce demand to access Okanagan Lake.
The Sutherland Bay Park boat launch is also closed for construction with an anticipated re-opening sometime this month.
The City’s other boat launches are located at Cedar Creek Park and Water Street. For more information, visit kelowna.ca/parks.
