A 39-year-old man has died suddenly, as he was spending a weekend snowmobiling with family and friends.
It happened east of Kelowna in the Greystokes snowmobile trails, at a cabin the group was staying at.
Shortly after noon yesterday, the man suddenly collapsed inside the home.
First responders were called at about 12:40, after another member of the group had to drive about 20 minutes in out of the back country, in order to get cell reception.
Big White fire crews and Central Okanagan search and rescuers made it out to the scene, though the lack of cell and radio reception made it a difficult location to access.
Though CPR was performed, the man wasn't able to revived, and was pronounced dead.
The BC Coroners are leading the investigation - police don't think anyone played a role in the man's death.
