Crashing into an unmarked RCMP vehicle is never a good thing.
Doing it while allegedly being impaired is even worse.
A 57 year old Kelowna man faces charges of impaired driving and dangerous operation of a vehicle after a crash Thursday morning on Rifle Road.
The accident, at around 11:30 am, saw a Grey SUV cross the centre line and collide with an on-coming Chevy pickup.
The impact was so great, the Chevy truck hit a light post before coming to rest on the sidewalk.
A female officer inside the truck was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
When speaking to the male driver, it was believed he was impaired by either drugs or alcohol and he was detained at the scene for further investigation.
