Police in Nelson have tweeted out a holiday offer to drunk drivers.
It an offer of free accomodation on the hardest bed possible, a free phone call to the lawyer of their choice and the added treat of being woken every 20 minutes to ensure safety. The Nelson PD did note, the offer is only available to people who make poor life choices.
In all seriousness though, the roads are awful and there WILL be drunk drivers out so please be safe.
