The BC Wildfire Service is responding to a wildfire East of Wood Lake, near King Edward Lake.
26 firefighters, two helicopters, and several air tankers have been deployed to fight the fire, which is estimated to be 3 hectares in size.
The Kamloops Fire Centre says no structures are threatened at this time, but it's too early to tell whether the fire is under control, or how soon it could be.
Residents first reported smoke in the area just after 3:30 PM, which was still visible from Kelowna hours later.
