A 35 year-old man is lucky to have suffered only minor injuries after being struck last night by a pickup truck while cycling in the dark.
The RCMP say the cyclist wasn't wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, at around 11 pm, and didn't have any reflectors or lights displayed on his bike to enhance his visibility.
The driver, a woman from Peachland, remained at the scene and cooperated with police, who ruled out alcohol or drugs as being contributing factors in the accident.
No charges will be laid.
Witnesses who have not yet spoken to police may still call the West Kelowna RCMP.
