A serious accident this afternoon in downtown Kelowna involving a motorist and a cyclist.
The cyclist was struck by a Ford F-350 pickup truck at around 12:30 at the intersection at Richter Street and Doyle.
The Kelowna RCMP's Jesse O'Donaghey has an update on the cyclists condition.
"That cyclist has been identified as a 58 year-old male, believed to be a Kelowna resident. He was rushed to hospital with serious injuries and those injuries have the potential to be life threatening".
O'Donaghey says it is believed the cyclist swerved into the truck when the two collided.
The motorist remained at the scene of the collision.
