Diabetes Canada, the Central Okanagan Clothesline Program would like to thank the residents and businesses of Lake Country, Kelowna and West Kelowna!
The Association has been privileged to have had numerous valued individual and corporate supporters, whose generous and ongoing contributions make it possible for us to run initiatives such as our kid’s camps and research programs. A special thanks to residents Tom and David who keep our clothing donation bins neat and tidy while collecting your donations.
By cleaning out your closets, Clothesline provides 100 per cent of net proceeds raised to Diabetes Canada and world leading diabetes research, education, advocacy and programs like our camps for children. Your support helped Diabetes Canada fund programs leading to better treatments for diabetes and ultimately a cure to “End Diabetes”.
Each year, the Diabetes Canada Clothesline® Program diverts more than 46 million kilograms of reusable clothing and household items from our landfills, making this a key differentiating factor between Diabetes Canada and other charities. This translates into a savings of 840 million kWh of energy and reduces our donors’ carbon footprint by 115 million kilograms of CO2 emissions. This energy savings is enough to drive a car 41,000 times around the globe and equivalent to saving 8.2 million trees! Call 1-800-505-5525 to book a free pick up.
