On May 8, late in the evening, the Kelowna Street Enforcement Unit (SEU) executed a search warrant on a private Mt. Boucherie area residence located on Menu Road in West Kelowna. Plain clothes officers arrested a 38-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman, each with ties to the West Kelowna residence.
“Our investigators believe that the drug dial a dope operation was in business throughout the Okanagan, from Kelowna to Penticton,” states RCMP Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey, spokesperson for the Kelowna Regional Detachment.
Once both suspects were taken into police custody, officers executed the warrant which yielded pre-packaged ready to sell illicit drugs, cash and a pair of firearms.
In total police seized over 350 grams of suspect methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl combined, a variety of over 940 suspected illicit pills, over $4,600 in cash, a loaded .38 calibre handgun and a SKS rifle.
The man and woman each face potential drug and firearms related charges. They have since been released and are expected to appear in Court on a future date.
The investigation was on-going for a month.
