A barking dog helped alert a homeowner to a prowler in Glenmore, Thursday morning, and when police were called they nabbed a wanted man.
Kelowna RCMP say at around 6:00 am, they responded to the Edgehill Court area where a suspect had been seen breaking into nearly a dozen parked vehicles.
When officers arrived, the suspect was spotted still inside a pick-up truck, and when he saw police he fled on foot.
He was arrested a short time later in a nearby backyard.
Police seized a number of items including a folding knife, loose change, various keys and gift cards.
A 31-year-old Kelowna man, wanted on several outstanding warrants, was to appear in court Friday.
