If you normally park downtown on Kelowna Rockets game nights, the cost of your parking spot might be changing.
Starting Sunday, event rates will increase from 5 dollars to 7 dollars at the Waterfront Park lot across from Prospera, and at the surface lot at Cawston and St. Paul.
The 5 dollar price will stay intact at the Library parkade, and will be reduced from 5 dollars to 3 dollars at the Memorial parkade.
The city says the new rates are pretty straightforward - the further people are willing to walk, the less they'll pay for parking.
During events at Prospera, the Chapman parkade will still be free to park in after hours. It'll revert to 5 dollar event parking for larger scale concerts, like Centre of Gravity.
All city parkades are free to park in during the evening, on nights without an event.
