The Ramada's annual drive-thru fundraiser for the United Way raised roughly $46,000 in a matter of hours.
Organizer Maxine DeHart says it was a jam packed morning.
"It absolutely went fantastic - the first person was in the lineup at 5:15, and they waited, and the lineup was steady with a completely full lot - all six lanes - until 9:20," she said.
"Really, it's three hours. We take that money, the girls count it, and that's the total. I get a few cheques after, but really when you divide 46-grand by three, it's pretty hefty. And it's 46-grand that the United Way didn't have yesterday."
This year's drive-thru is the 19th annual, and DeHart says this year left her impressed over the size of donations coming in from the drivers.
She says some final cheques and donations will trickle in over the next day or two.
Last year, the drive-thru brought in roughly $50,000
