Kelowna RCMP is reminding drivers to keep a look out for people crossing the street, after a pedestrian was struck Tuesday morning.
It hapened at 11:30am, near the intersection of Baron Road and Underhill Street.
Police say a GMC Tracker, westbound on Barod Road, collided with the pedestrian as she crossed the roadway in a crosswalk on the east side of the intersection.
The woman, in her mid 70's, sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.
The driver, a man in his late 50's, remained at the scene and has been charged under the Motor Vehicle Act.
