A driver who hit a cyclist and another car was treated for a drug overdose at the scene of the crash.
Just after 10:00 Tuesday night, police were called down to Ethel Street, between Wardlaw Avenue and Grenfell Crescent, where the cyclist was hit from the back, and then watched as the car continued driving south, where it hit another vehicle before stopping.
Both the 40-year-old man driving the car, and the 38-year-old woman in the passengers seat were found passed out, and were both given doses of Naloxone, and then taken to hospital.
Fortunately, the 49-year-old man on the bike had only minor injuries, and was able to walk away from the crash.
The driver of the car was uncooperative with police, was handed a 24 hour driving suspension, and released on a Promise to Appear.
Charges are pending for impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, and refusal to comply with a demand.
The man has a court date set for November 30.
