Kelowna RCMP have made dozens of arrests - and say more are coming - as they clamp down on drug trafficking in the city.
During May and June - officers made buys of fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine - and arrested 32 people who face up to 49 charges.
Sargeant Greg Woodcox - of the Downtown Enforcement Unit - says identifying those responsible for the sale and distribution of illicit and dangerous drugs on our streets is a high priority.
In 2018, a similar RCMP drug operation resulted in the arrest of 99 people charged with 172 counts of trafficking.
On Monday - 28-year-old Joey Point of Kelowna - one of those accused of heroin trafficking last year - was sentenced to 42 months in prison.
