The Eagle Bluff wildfire remains mapped at 2,632 hectares in size and is not expected to grow beyond its current perimeter. Over the coming days, there will be a significant decrease in resources, including personnel, assigned to this fire. Crews from other areas of the province will be released from the incident, and local crews will continue to mop up and patrol.
We would like to remind the public that the northern flank of the fire is under modified response. This area of the fire is being allowed to take its natural course as it no longer poses a threat to communities or structures. It is being closely monitored by the BC Wildfire Service using cameras, ground patrols and aerial scans as necessary. Please note that smoke may continue to be visible from this area in the coming weeks as the fire remains active.
