Kelowna RCMP are looking for two women they say went to different fitness centres in the city on Tuesday to steal cars.
The first theft, at the Goodlife Fitness on Gordon Drive, happened after 7:30am, when the suspect stole the keys to a Ford SUV from the woman's change room and drove away in the car.
Less then two hours later, police recived a report of a 4 door hatch back missing from the parking lot at Steve Nash Fitness on Cooper Road, after the keys for that car were taken from an unlocked locker.
And shortly after 1:00pm, a Hyundai SUV was taken from the parking lot at Mission Fitness Centre on Gordon Drive after the keys were also taken from a locker inside.
Police say a fourth attempted theft was stopped at the YMCA on Hartman Road at 5:40pm after a woman discovered her gym bag was missing and told her boyfriend, who confronted a suspicious woman outside.
The woman is described as black, in her 20’s, with curly black hair dyed red, wearing tight jeans and white sneakers. She promptly departed with a second woman, described as Caucasian, wearing a baggy t-shirt and a toque, in a tan coloured SUV.
Police are looking for the public's help in identifying the suspects and locating the three stolen cars:
