A large home was destroyed, but no-one was hurt, in a fire Tuesday night in McKinley Landing north of Kelowna.
When fire crews arrived at the scene, on Bennett Road at around 8:00 pm, flames were coming from the roof area at the rear of the home, and quickly spread into the building.
A woman who was home at the time managed to safely escape.
Firefighters also doused a grass fire caused by burning embers on the hill north of the house - no other homes are nearby.
There's no word yet on what caused the blaze.
