A small electrical fire at a Real Canadian Superstore in Kelowna forced shoppers to evacuate the building this morning.
It happened just before noon at the back of the Superstore on Baron Rd.
“We received 911 calls from staff that were in the back of the store, reporting a fire,” said Platoon Captain John Kelly “they reported it as being electrical in nature. When we arrived on scene the fire had been pretty much been extinguished.”
He says crews were able to isolate the power and extinguish the flames completely.
No one was hurt and everyone was allowed back inside after firefighters were done.
The BC Safety Authority will be called in to investigate what caused the fire.
