Emergency officials are asking residents living in low-lying areas to remain alert for possible flooding.
Despite the favourable weather, the Emergency Operations Centre says things can change suddenly and the risk of flooding is dependent on the snowmelt and warm temperatures, in addition to rain.
Residents are urged to keep sandbags in place until the flood watch has officially ended, which might not be for another month.
Over the past few days, Okanagan Lake has risen an average of 5cm a day and currently sits 10cm above full pool. Officials say residents that live along waterways should not remove debris along their property as it can act as a barricade against rising water and minimize erosion.
Last night, several evacuation orders and alerts were cancelled, allowing some residents to be able to go back home.
